Day 1: Welcome activities and walk in the historic town of Ruvo di Puglia followed by dinner in a typical restaurant and overnight stay at Casa Rubis (Ruvo di Puglia).

Day 2: Breakfast and departure for a guided tour of Castel del Monte, a mysterious octagonal castel, a UNESCO heritage site. Then we’ll visit a historic dairy company to assist with the preparation of dairy products and tasting. Lunch will be served in a typical Apulian farmhouse. Going through the lands where the rites of the olive tree cultivation and the crusher activity have been cyclically renewed for centuries, we reach Bisceglie. Visit of an olive oil company, walking among the centuries-old olive trees, where it will be possible to learn notions about the Apulian olive growing and the different stages of pressing and tasting. Possibility to buy oil and typical local products. In the evening, return to Ruvo di Puglia, dinner arranged by the participants and overnight stay at Casa Rubis. 

Day 3: Breakfast and departure for the generous and fascinating roads of the Castel del Monte Doc wine, we reach the countryside of Ruvo di Puglia, land of noble wines. We’ll visit a winery to learn about the vineyard, the millstone, the history of viticulture and winemaking. Lunch in a typical Apulian restaurant. In the afternoon we continue along “the wheat ways” and arriving to Altamura, a renowned gastronomic destination for bread made with durum wheat flour, which has obtained the first European DOP brand. Visits to ancient wood-fired ovens and tastings of baker’s traditions related to wheat and its innumerable variations. Possibility to purchase local products. Return to Ruvo di Puglia in the evening, dinner arranged by the participants and overnight stay at Casa Rubis.

Day 4: Breakfast and end of tour
