Tastes and knowledges of Puglia
1st day: Participants arrival and meeting with our tour guide, transfer in hotel in coach hire, dinner and overnight stay.
2nd day: Breakfast in hotel and departure for Andria, guided visit to the mysterious octagonal manor, “Castel del Monte”. the tour carries on with the visit of an historic cheese farm to discover the cheese products production and their taste. Lunch at the manor farm. Travelling in these lands, where the olive tree cultivation and oil-mill activity rites recur cyclically for centuries by now, we arrive to Bisceglie. Oil farm visit, walk among the secular olive trees, consideration about the Apulian olive cultivation, description of different squeezing out and tasting phases. Then you can buy the local oil and typical products. Return in hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
3rd day: Breakfast in hotel. Going through the generous and charming roads of Castel
del Monte Wine Doc, we arrive to Ruvo di Puglia, land of noble wines. Visit of a wine farm, the vineyard, the tucking, wine growing and winemaking history. Lunch at restaurant. In the afternoon the tour carries on along “the ways of wheat” and arrival to the gastronomic destination Altamura, renowned for the durum wheat bread, that obtained the first European mark “DOP”. Visit of ancient wood stoves, tasting of bread traditions about wheat and its innumerable variants. Then you can buy the local products. Return in hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
4th day: Breakfast in hotel. Tour end.
