San Nicola is one of the best-loved saints of Orthodox Christians, Catholics, and Protestants. He’s considered the Saint Patron of Bari and every year he is celebrated with various events; a great religious folk festival commemorates the Translation of the Relics from Myra to Bari; the public square and other areas are turned into a festive fairyland lit by large beautiful screens.
Day 1: Arrival in the afternoon in a hotel in Bari area by their own means. We recommend a visit to Alberobello: the fairytale capital of the trulli. A picturesque walk between the characteristic buildings in local stone. Dinner in restaurant / hotel and overnight.
Day 2: Breakfast at hotel. Free visit of Bari. Lunch in a typical restaurant. It is recommended in day participation in religious celebrations and events organized on the occasion of the feast of St. Nicholas, including the scenic historical parade and procession morning. Dinner in restaurant / hotel and overnight.
Day 3: Breakfast at the Hotel. Free visit of Bari. Clear tourist interest the Basilica of St. Nicholas’ prototype ” Apulian Romanesque churches, religious monument of considerable importance and place of worship of the Orthodox Church, a walk in the old city and the walls and visit the Cathedral and the Castello Svevo. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Return to their places of origin – End of services
