The Feast of Santa Domenica in Scorrano is a real triumph of light and color that make it shine in a striking sight.
The festivities in honor of the Patron start on July, the 5th, with the lighting of the spectacular illuminations, with band concerts to undewrline the funny atmosphere.
The “Parazioni” impressive lighting scenarios, drawing profiles of palaces and buildings, a tradition of the Baroque period that is renewed every year thanks to the skill and artistic work of the great families of Scorrano that are handed down from generation to generation the secrets of this ‘art of light.

Day 1: Arrival in the afternoon in the hotel zone in Scorrano by own means. We recommend a visit of Galatina: in the city center , starting from the fountain of Martinez , the Baron’s Palace , the Church of St. Peter with the imposing and impressive Baroque façade. Dinner in the restaurant / hotel and overnight.

Day 2: Breakfast at hotel . On July, the 6th, you can take part at the procession of the statue of Santa Domenica through the illuminated streets of Scorrano with a large following of loyal ; each stage of the pilgrimage city is punctuated with numerous batteries of fireworks. Then the statue arrives to the Arc Porta Terra , where the civilian authorities hand over the keys to the patron saint of the city. Dinner at restaurant / hotel and overnight.

Day 4: Breakfast at the hotel . Free visit of Lecce. We propose the tour from Port Rudiae: from the Rosary Church, the Hospital of the Holy Spirit , the former Dominican Convent, the Church of St. Anna to the Church of St. Teresa It is suggested to proceed to the Church of St. Clare, the Church of St. Matthew and the Roman Theatre, the Church of St. Cross , Palace of Celestine , Palazzo Adorno, and then close the visit to the Arc de Triomphe or Porta Napoli and the obelisk erected in honor of Ferdinand of Bourbon.
