A series of religious events and celebrations take place in Novoli, in honor of Anthony, the Patron Saint and protector of the town. His feast day is celebrated with processions, music, and especially bonfires as one legend claims that he went to hell to steal the devil’s fire, and indeed, while he distracted the devil, his piglet ran in and stole a firebrand to take back to humans on Earth. The famous “Focara” of Novoli, is considered an “intangible cultural asset” by UNESCO.

Day 1: Arrival in the afternoon in Lecce hotel in the area with their own means. We recommend a visit to the home of Baroque, among the picturesque alleys of the old town, the discovery of a scene that enchants with her singing refined and elegant. Dinner in restaurant / hotel and overnight.

Day 2: Breakfast at hotel. Transfer autonomous Novoli. It is recommended in day participation in religious celebrations and events organized on the occasion of the feast of St. Anthony, including the striking “Focara” evening, which closes all the festivities in honor of the saint. Dinner in restaurant / hotel and overnight.
