The archangel Michael was the founder of the town of Monte San Michele and the celebrations in his honor have their best moment on September 29^th. A saint’s relic, the holy golden sword taken from the statue in the cave, is taken in procession in the streets of the town, by the Archdeacon with a purple glove under a canopy supported with devotion by the pilgrims. 

Day 1: Arrival in the afternoon in Lecce hotel in the area with their own means. We recommend a visit to the home of Baroque, among the picturesque alleys of the old town, the discovery of a scene that enchants with her singing refined and elegant. Dinner in restaurant / hotel and overnight.

Day 2: Breakfast at hotel. Free visit to Gallipoli. In the afternoon, we recommend participation in religious celebrations and events organized on the occasion of the Feast of Santa Cristina; take place in the evening the festivities in honor of the patron saint, and the city streets come alive in the traditional fair-market, with stalls selling all kinds of products and local specialties, and the amusement park for the enjoyment of adults and children. Particularly valuable take the decorations with traditional multicolored lights, with the dome of the soundboard for band concerts staged course of Rome near the Church of the Sacred Heart. When finished, return to the hotel and overnight.
